The day-to-day work of a medical coding and billing specialist includes properly coding services, procedures, diagnoses and treatments and also preparing and sending invoices or claims for payment. Students must have proof of high school diploma or GED equivalence.

About the Exam
This course will prepare students to sit for the Medical Billing & Coding Certification exam to earn the credentials offered through the National Healthcareer Association. The test date will be Wednesday, Dec. 16. Cost is included in the course fees.
